Trench Coat

One of the first blogs that I started reading was J's Everyday Fashion and I still read it on a daily basis.  I have always enjoyed Jeannette's blog because a lot of her outfits are drawn from inspirations from runway or magazines and she creates an affordable option.  I got to meet Jeannette last year and she super sweet and nice and so supportive of other bloggers to succeed in making blogging a business.

I fell in love with this outfit of Jeannette's and wanted to recreate it.  I don't don't own a trench coat so what was I to do?  I used my trusty Loft Faux Leather Sleeve Blazer and my Ann Taylor trench dress to create a similar leather sleeve trench jacket.  I knew I wanted to wear it to work so I swap out the distressed jeans with some black pants and leopard heels.

What do you think of my faux trench coat?

BTW, it's trench dress week here on the blog.  This dress will make another appearance on the blog later this week.  You can see 2 other ways that I've worn my trench dress here.
