I am celebrating a birthday today! I have never been one to throw a big birthday bash or draw attention to myself. Last week, I got rear ended (no one was hurt, my car just have some damage on the bumper). The car is now at the shop and they gave me a Mustang convertible to use as a loaner car.
To celebrate my birthday, we took advantage of the beautiful weather and drove to the beach with the top down. I felt a like a total tourist and it was so fun.
As part of not making birthdays a big hoopla here, we don't really exchange gifts either. My husband and I tend to exchange cards and really just buy something for ourselves if we see something we like.
I am not gonna lie, I am not an easy person to buy something for so that makes it tough for him. I don't like people buying me clothes or lotions but I do love jewelry. Recently, Uncommon Goods reached out to me and asked if I wanted to collaborate with them. I went to their website and love their jewelry selection (check it out here).
I love that you can learn about the artist that made the jewelry and they have pieces in different price range and style for all types of people. I love me some statement necklaces but I also love minimalist types as well. You can see some examples of their minimalist jewelry style here. I feel in love with this Trinity Wooden Necklace and I was not disappointed when I received it.
They also have a great selection of handmade jewelry (here) that would make such great gifts for people that are hard to buy gifts for. How fun would this necklace be for a friend that is a hair stylist.
By the way, they not only have great jewelry selection but I love that they have gift ideas for the men in your life to someone that loves kitchen gadgets. I was browsing on their website for a long time and wanted so many items from the kitchen.
When you celebrate birthdays, do you exchange gifts with your special someone?
